BECOME THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE

If you look through the Bible every person that God ever used had an encounter with him that changed their lives. Before God could send them to help his people he first had to deal with them personally. Moses encountered God at the burning bush, this encounter not only revealed to him a dimension of God he didn’t know but it also transformed him and awakened him to rediscover himself and he was empowered by God to be the deliverer of the Israelites. Jacob encountered and wrestled with God for him to be blessed and God changed his name. Saul who later became Paul encountered God on his way to Damascus and after he got to know him, he was sent to preach the gospel and became the greatest apostle.

It is good that you want to impact lives, it’s also good that you have seen a lot of wrong thing going on around that you want to change but don’t rush into going out there to try and implement the changes you think need to be made, you need to spend time in Gods presence first, you need to know him, let him reveal himself to you and let him reveal his plans and will for you, allow him to work on you, prune and mould you and when he is done he is going to be the one to send you. Trust me the world will ask you who sent you and on whose authority you have to say the things you say or do do the things you do, if you sent yourself, you will not have Gods backing to deliver you, but if He is the one that sent you everything around you will fall into place. 

The reason many people start things and don’t last or run the race till the end isn’t because they didn’t really have the vision, or the desire to impact lives, many don’t spend enough time in the presence of God to be prepared for the journey ahead and they don’t spend enough time with themselves to grow themselves. God doesn’t want you to be a sign post showing others the way whilst you don’t get to the promised land. He desires that you experience the same change, impact, prosperity you so badly want others to experience. He wants you to be a living example of the change he wants you to make so that when many ask about reference of a life that reflects the change you speak about, they don’t need to go any further because you are a reflection of it
