WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PURSUE GROWTH IN LIFE
There are some people that are motivated to pursue growth because they are tired of the sufferings, lack, failures and challenges that life has thrown to them. This category of people believes that once they grow a particular area of their lives, they will no longer experience the challenges they are facing.
Another category of people are motivated to pursue growth because of their hunger and passion for success, fame and recognition. This category of people are often desperate to make it at all cost, to them it doesn’t matter what they have to do, they must make it in life. Often this desperation is driven from the admiration of certain people around them that suddenly rose to fame and though they may not know what warranted their success, they are also eager to want to experience the lavish lifestyle that comes with the success they have seen and make a name for themselves.
Finally the last category of people are motivated to pursuing growth because of their hunger understanding and enlightenment they have received from being in the presence of God that made them discover their life’s purpose and Gods will and plans for their lives. This category of people believes that true growth, success and fulfillment in life can only come about and can only be enjoyed when they are aligned to the path God has set for them. And they desire to grow in all areas of their lives because they know that their growth will bring glory to the name of the Lord.
Now, If you happen to fall in the first and second category, one thing you must notice is that the motivation that is driving you, is mostly external motivation and the moment you suddenly see a small level of success and no longer experience the suffering and pains you experienced, you will easily plateau and become comfortable in that little success because your pursuit of growth wasn’t birthed from a place of conviction, illumination, inner motivation and revelation.
However, if you fall in the third category, no matter the success you experience or the challenges that come along the way, you won’t easily be swayed because your motivation was birthed from Gods presence, from an understanding of your purpose and from discovering God will for your life. Aside that if you have dedicated your life to glorify God that too is a reason that will keep you contenting for growth and transformation because you know that each time you grow to greater heights and attain a certain level of success many see the Hand of God in your life and glorify him.
